This kit is a classic Belgian white wheat ale brewed with both wheat & barley. Lightly hopped, it's unique style comes from the introduction of spices such as bitter orange peel & coriander. Kölsch is a crisp, clean, easy drinking ale. It has a straw-yellow hue similar to a pilsner, but is less hoppy, a bit sweeter and uses pale malts and a small amount of wheat. The kit includes a dry beer yeat, however, using White Labs WLP029 will help achieve the lager-like characteristics this ale is famously known for.
