This recipe is best enjoyed when lagered.  Pilsner malt extract produces straw color.  This kit includes a lager yeast that also performs well fermented at ale temperatures.

Munich & chocolate malts combine to create a darker, maltier version than its lighter counterpart, Hefeweizen.  Dunkelweizen is amber-brown in color yet medium-bodied with a slightly sweet, bready flavor.  This ale produces the characteristic phenols & ester found in traditional Weizens with the addition of a speciality wheat yeast (included).

Dark, roasty, creamy ale.  Nearly black in color this beer is medium-bodied and finishes dry from roasted barley.  Malto dextrin creates a thick, long-lasting head.

Kölsch is a crisp, clean, easy drinking ale.  It has a straw-yellow hue similar to a pilsner, but is less hoppy, a bit sweeter and uses pale malts and a small amount of wheat.  The kit includes a dry beer yeat, however, using White Labs WLP029 will help achieve the lager-like characteristics this ale is famously known for.

A light-colored German lager with malty profile. Slightly sweet with just enough bittering hops to balance the malt. This kit includes a lager yeast that will also perform well if fermented at ale temperatures.

Wheat malt & European hops make this recipe a summertime delight.  Light bodied with a smooth finish, includes dry wheat yeast.

This kit is a classic Belgian white wheat ale brewed with both wheat & barley.  Lightly hopped, it's unique style comes from the introduction of spices such as bitter orange peel & coriander.  It's fermented with WB-06 dry wheat yeast that results in a fruity, spicy, refreshing beer with a dry finish.   Slightly cloudy with orange hues, perfect summer time cooler.

This American style Dortmunder is dark gold color with a mild caramel influence from cyrstal malt.  The hops give it a nice balance of taste and mouthfeel.

This recipe produces a malty, high gravity, full-bodied beer that is gold in color.  The lightest malt extract available and a unique balance of domestic and imported hops are used.

A rich, complex high-gravity specialty ale.  Full-bodied brew with plenty of hop character, slight caramel and chocolate flavors are followed by a nutty aftertaste.  Includes premium Safale S-04 yeast.

This beer style has been perfected on the West Coast and we are proud to create an extract version for the homebrewer.  This beer is very big, very hoppy and somewhat arrogant.

Full-bodied dark brew with intense roast flavor and huge malt influence.  The hop bitterness is offset by a touch of sweetness from the big malt character.  Give this beer time to mature and consider using an oak alternative for added complexity.
